Why do you think weight monitoring is so important?
We think that the currently available weight loss solutions are unreliable. They tell you to count points, calories, eat this - eat that, do this in the morning - do that in the afternoon, but they hardly ever ask for feedback, so they don't know how successful their strategy is. We think that everybody is different and it's irresponsible to give advice without looking at the goals and results very closely. The bottom line is that if you want to lose or gain weight, you need to monitor it very closely and that is exactly what we do. You try a diet and you look at the charts. It has the answer for you and not the promise that other companies offer.
We aren't going to tell you that for $30 you will lose 30 pounds, but we are going to tell you if your diet is working or not, and we are going to tell you how you should continue your journey based on numbers.
How often should I use my eScale?
You can use your eScale as often as you want, all measurements will be transmitted and appear on our Website in real-time. You can use it once a week, every day, or even multiple times per day. However, we do recommend using it once a day always at the same time. Right after you wake up for example.
Can I just use the eScale without paying every month?
Yes, you can. You can always step on it and see your weight on its display. However the success of our product is not just measuring your weight, it is about the support that we give you based on these measurements. Using our Website requires a subscription.
Do you have warranty on the eScales?
Yes we do. We will replace your eScale if it's not working properly for 12 months.
What does the BodyTrace eScale come with?
It comes with everything you need to use it. You will get 6 Duracell batteries so it will be ready to use as soon as you open the box.
How does your eScale work?
We are using the GSM network to transmit your weight to our Website. We use these measurements to create weight and BMI charts and by combining this information with additional data that we collect (from food tracker for example) we can better evaluate your progress and give you feedback on how to reach your goals.
Do you have plans selling the eScale outside the US?
Yes, we are planning to go worldwide, but using mobile communication needs many agreements and certifications for each country so it takes a while. Please be patient.
Is it hard to set up your eScale?
It is just as hard as using a regular bathroom scale. You need to step on it. :) There is absolutely no setup process or installation.
How do I turn it on?
You need to tap the front of your eScale to turn it on and then wait a few seconds while it calibrates itself. We are calibrating the eScale every time you use it to make sure that all measurements are 100% accurate.
How do I turn it off?
It turns off automatically.
How do I change from kg to lbs?
There is a switch at the bottom of the eScale.
Is it waterproof?
No, it is not waterproof.
Can multiple eScales be used in the same household?
Multiple eScales can co-exist in the same household and we actually suggest to have one for everybody in the family. Only one person can use a given eScale, so if there are more members of the family that keep track of their weight, then using multiple eScales is a good idea.
Where should I use my eScale?
You can use it anywhere in the US. You can even take it with you if you travel as long as you stay in the US. However we do suggest to use it in your bedroom or living room instead of your bathroom to ensure the best possible coverage.
Can I take it with me if I go abroad?
Your eScale will not be synced with our Website while you are abroad. However, our eScale is designed to store 16 measurements, so once you return to the US and use it again, all measurements will be displayed on our Website.
What kind of batteries are recommended?
We recommend Duracell batteries since our tests have shown that they last longer then regular batteries. You need 6 of them for the BodyTrace eScale. Our product comes with the recommended batteries in the box.
What is the maximum weight that it measures?
It is calibrated for 150 kg or 330 pounds.
What is the accuracy of the eScale?
+/- 0.2 lbs.
What is the graduation of the eScale?
The graduation is 0.1 lbs.
Does it have a display?
Yes, it has an LED display. If the eScale is off, it's almost invisible, but as soon as you step on it you will see it clearly.
Is it using Wi-Fi?
No, it's using the GSM network with a built-in module. This way you don't have to enter a password, choose a network or anything like that. You open the box, step on the scale and the results are online immediately.
I am experiencing problems with my eScale. What should I do?
How do I track the calories that I have eaten?
There is a food tracker on our Website where you can manually enter what you ate. We currently have over 10,000 foods.
How do I get my weight from the eScale to the Website?
It happens automatically, you don't need to install any hardware or software. Just measure yourself and it's taken care of.
Are you constantly improving your site?
Yes, and we will be happy to hear your ideas.
Is it free to use your Website?
Using the BodyTrace eScale and Website together will require a subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription?

Can I post my weight automatically on Twitter?
Yes, you can set up the integration on our Sharing page once you log in.

We always have multiple packages available, so please visit our order form for more information.
How do you ship my eScale?
We use either FedEx or USPS for shipping. You should receive your eScale within 2-7 days.
What happens if I am not completely satisfied with your product?
If you are not satisfied for any reason, you can return the eScale in its original packaging to our warehouse within 30 days of purchase. You will receive a full refund (except shipping cost) once we receive the eScale.
